About the Founder 👤
The story behind SLT Underground and the person who built it.
I am Prosperpeace — an ND2 Science Laboratory Technology student at The Polytechnic Ibadan, Faculty of Science. I built SLT Underground because I know how hard it can be to find organized, reliable study materials as an SLT student. I wanted one place where every student — from their first week in ND1 to their final exams in ND2 — could find everything they need.
The Mission
SLT Underground was built with one mission: to make every SLT student at Poly Ibadan succeed. Not just survive — succeed. Distinction, Upper Credit — that should be the standard, not the exception.
This platform is free. It will always be free. It is my contribution to the department, to the students who come after me, and to every coursemate who is doing their best right now.
Every note on this site was uploaded because I know what it is like to sit in a lecture and miss something, or to not have a textbook, or to not know what to study. This is the solution.
What is Science Laboratory Technology?
Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) is a two-year National Diploma programme offered by The Polytechnic Ibadan under the Faculty of Science. SLT students are trained in the practical and theoretical aspects of laboratory science — covering chemistry, biology, physics, electronics, microbiology, analytical chemistry, and more.
Graduates of SLT work in hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, government laboratories, food and beverage industries, and petrochemical companies. SLT is one of the most versatile science diplomas available at this level.

The Polytechnic Ibadan uses a unique grading scale. Here is what every SLT student should know and aim for:
